The Old Bailey and Newgate by Charles Gordon Published by T Fisher Unwin Undated c1900

Heavy black cloth book with gilt decoration to spine and front with rubs and exposed corner bumps.  Uncut pages are age toned and smell of tobacco with the occasional stain.  The cotton binding has lifted to an area at page 195 and there is cracking to spine at page 145, but this has not affected the solidity of the book.  There is light annotation to some of the pages in pencil.  Published by T Fisher Unwin this book is heavily illustrated throughout.
