Selsey Bill: Historic & Prehistoric by E Heron-Allen Published in 1911 Large Heavy Book

This is a very large and very heavy book.  Published in 1911 by Duckworth & Co and compiled by Edward Heron-Allen.  With many illustrated full page plates and three original loose maps tucked into a sleeve at the rear of the book.  Cream cloth covers are in relatively clean condition, considering the age, with light grubbing, corner knocks, one with a white stain.  Title paper plate is age darkened and ragged to spine.  Internally the book has an owner's bookplate inside front cover and owner's details to same and ffep.  With some age toning to both endpages.  Although there is some age spotting in sporadic places, the pages are generally very good throughout and good and tight for such a very heavy book.  The previouys owner has placed paper markers in some of the pages and these have formed a shadow over the years to the opposite page.  I have photographed this but not all the pages marked.
