Red cloth title with gilt titles and decoration to spine and embossed decoration to front cover with printed author's signature.  This is part of a collection of Emily Sarah Holt books, that are listed separately.  The covers have rubbing to extremities, small nicks to head and tail of spine, corner bumps and stains to covers .  Internally with decorated endpages and cracked hinges, with book plate covering owner's details.  Pages are age toned.  The books were published J F Shaw and Co around 1890.  We have four titles in this collection with red covers and one in green.
