Fattypuffs and Thinifers by Andre Maurois Translated by Norman Denny Illustrated by Jean Bruller First Edition 1941

Vintage illustrated children's book from 1941 published by John Lane at The Bodley Head.  The green cloth covered book is in poor repair with rubs, grubs, fraying to extremities with a tear to spine which contributes to the book not sitting squarely.  Discolouration and staining to area around the spine.  Internally with crack to hinge.  Decorated endpages and pencil number to ffep.  The book structure is held together with stitched spine which is exposed in places.  There is what looks like water staining to some pages in the spine areas.
